Privacy Policy

What we collect through the two forms on this site, where it goes, and what you can ask us to do with it.

Last updated: 22 August 2026

This policy explains what personal information UAV Mapping Service collects through this website, why we collect it, where it goes, and what you can ask us to do with it. It is written to be read rather than to be survived.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not run advertising or retargeting on this site.

1. Who we are

UAV Mapping Service is a drone mapping business serving Nevada, Northern Arizona, and Southern Utah.

Email: david@uavmapserv.com
Phone: 702-768-8299

For questions about this policy or about information we hold, contact us at the address above.

2. What we collect through the contact form

The contact form asks for your name, contact number, email address, and message. You may optionally attach a site boundary file or plan.

All of these are provided by you. The form will not submit without a name and an email address; everything else is optional.

3. What we collect through the project specification form

The specification form asks for more, because a detailed quote needs more. It covers your name, company, email address, and contact number, together with project information: project name, site location, project type, approximate acreage, current phase, capture frequency, the deliverables and formats you need, contour interval, coordinate system and datum, accuracy requirement, the smallest feature you need identified, your required capture window and delivery date, site access and airspace notes, and any other comments. You may attach a site boundary file or plan.

Only your name and email address are required. Every other field can be left blank.

4. Information collected automatically

When you submit either form, the form also records the date and time of submission, the page you submitted from, your IP address, and your browser user agent. This is standard submission metadata and helps us identify spam and diagnose delivery problems.

Our host records server logs, including IP addresses, as part of normal operation.

5. Why we collect it

To reply to your enquiry, to prepare a quote, to plan and carry out work you engage us for, and to keep a record of that work. Contact details are used to reach you about your project. Project information is used to scope and price it.

We do not add you to a mailing list. We do not send marketing email. If you enquire and do not engage us, we will not chase you indefinitely.

6. Where your information goes

A form submission is handled in three ways at once:

Stored on this website. Submissions are saved in the website database so that nothing is lost if an email fails to deliver.

Emailed to us. A notification is sent to david@uavmapserv.com. Email delivery is handled by Site Mailer, a service operated by Elementor.

Sent to our business system. Submissions create or update a record in our own Dolibarr installation, which runs on the same hosting as this website. Files you attach are copied to that record. Specification submissions are also rendered into a PDF summary and attached to it.

Files you upload are stored on our server in a directory that is not publicly accessible.

7. Who else is involved

A small number of third parties necessarily see or process data in the course of running this site:

Bluehost hosts the website and our business system, and therefore stores everything described above.

Google reCAPTCHA runs on our form pages to distinguish real submissions from automated ones. It sets a cookie and sends technical information about your browser and behaviour on the page to Google. This happens on the contact and specification pages only, not across the whole site. Google’s handling of that data is governed by its own privacy policy.

Site Mailer, operated by Elementor, delivers notification email from the site.

Jetpack Stats, operated by Automattic, records aggregate page view statistics so we know which pages are read. It does not identify you personally to us.

We do not pass your information to anyone else, and we do not sell it.

8. Cookies

This site uses very few cookies, and none for advertising.

Google reCAPTCHA sets a cookie on the contact and specification pages to support its spam checks.

Jetpack Stats may set a cookie for aggregate visit statistics.

WordPress sets cookies only for logged-in administrators. As a visitor, you will not receive these.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the reCAPTCHA cookie may prevent our forms from submitting.

9. How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to work are kept for up to two years, so that we can recognise a returning contact and pick up where we left off.

Records relating to projects we carry out are kept for the life of the business relationship and afterwards for as long as we may need them for tax, insurance, or dispute purposes. Site boundary files supplied with an enquiry are kept alongside the enquiry record.

Website submission records and server logs are kept for a shorter period and cleared periodically.

10. Project data and confidentiality

Site information you send us — boundaries, plans, project details — is treated as confidential and is used only to scope, quote, and deliver your work. We do not publish site imagery or identify you as a client without your written consent. This is also set out in our Terms and Conditions.

11. Your choices

You can ask us to tell you what information we hold about you, to correct anything that is wrong, or to delete your enquiry and any files you sent. Email david@uavmapserv.com and we will action it, usually within a few days.

Deletion requests are honoured except where we are required to retain records for tax or legal reasons, or where a record relates to work in progress.

Under Nevada law you may direct a business not to sell your personal information. We do not sell personal information to anyone, so there is nothing to opt out of, but you are welcome to write to us and have that confirmed.

12. Security

The site runs over HTTPS. Uploaded files are stored outside the publicly reachable part of the server. Access to our business system is restricted and password protected.

No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your information, we will tell you.

13. Children

This is a business-to-business site. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

14. Changes

If this policy changes, the revised version will be published here with a new date at the top.
